UNDERSTANDING HOMELESSNESS
COMPLEX CHALLENGES
HOMELESSNESS ISN’T ONLY PRESENT IN CORONA, BUT NATIONWIDE.
Homelessness is an extremely complex issue that has far-reaching impacts on many communities, including Corona. Homelessness is a social problem with a variety of underlying economic and social factors such as poverty, lack of affordable housing, chronic health issues, serious mental illness, substance use disorders, as well as broken family relationships and domestic violence.
COLLABORATIVE SOLUTIONS
TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY!
In June 2020, the Corona City Council adopted a Homeless Strategic Plan that provides a roadmap to addressing homelessness in Corona. The foundation of our homeless strategic plan is built upon public/private partnerships involving a wide variety of stakeholders.
MEASURING OUR PROGRESS
About the Data
The City of Corona works hard to expand data tracking systems and dashboards to measure performance. In order to reduce homelessness, the City of Corona must initiate a community-wide coordinated approach to delivering services, housing, and programs. Corona partners with City Net to work with our homeless neighbors. All data provided on this page is provided by a monthly report created by City Net staff members.
