About the Data

The data used in this dashboard is provided by the State of California Finance Department report titled 'E-5 Population and Housing Estimates for Cities, Counties, and the State, 2011-2018 with 2010 Census Benchmark'. This report provides the revised population and housing estimates for January 1, 2011-2017 and provisional population and housing estimates for January 1, 2018 for the state, counties, and cities. The data is extracted and uploaded in Socrata manually on a yearly basis.

Effectively Utilizing Our City

The City of Corona seeks to maintain an acceptable quality of life for all citizens through the responsible development of housing. Proper planning will effectively utilize our land, make the best use of our city's resources, and contribute to the sustainability of the city’s overall infrastructure.

Persons per Household

Persons per household (household size) refers to the number of people that inhabit any given dwelling unit.

Types of Housing

A stand-alone house (also called a single-detached dwelling, detached residence or separate house) is a free-standing residential building.
Multifamily residential (also known as multi-dwelling unit) is a classification of housing where multiple separate housing units for residential inhabitants are contained within one building or several buildings within one complex.

Planning for a Bright Future!

With every housing unit that is built, the City of Corona is working towards strategically reducing the capital and operating costs of police, fire and solid waste collection and other critical services while simultaneously building more efficient homes, creating a smaller carbon footprint, and enhancing our resident's lives!
