Our first priority is the emergency needs of our community. We will respond with properly staffed, well equipped, expertly trained, healthy firefighters & medical personnel within our designated response time standards.
EMS Response Time Under 5 Minutes 50 Seconds
In 2017, over 73% of the Corona Fire Department's call volume involved some form of a medical emergency.
The rapid delivery of EMS response is critical during life threatening emergencies. Every Corona Fire Department engine is staffed with at least 1 paramedic, and a minimum of 4 personnel. The Fire Department strives for an EMS response goal of under 5:50 minutes 90% of the time.
About the Data
The data used in this dashboard is provided via the City of Corona's Fire Department records management system. This system is updated real-time by dispatch and file personnel in the field. The data is extracted from the system and uploaded into Socrata on a nightly basis.

The City of Corona Fire Department EMS Division recognizes that speedy response times are critical to operational success. Quick response times ensure that personnel are able to arrive on scene quickly, additional accidents are prevented, and more lives are saved. As a result, Corona EMS strives to respond to citizens' calls in a timely manner. Training, communication, and other methods are used to ensure that calls for service are responded to in a timely and professional manner. The Corona Fire Department EMS Division will improve their response times by utilizing data, metrics, and other forms of information to identify areas of improvement and opportunities.
